Dairy co-operative Fonterra expects spending around $300 million boosting its Darfield plant including installing a second milk-powder dryer. It would enable the Canterbury site to process an extra 4.4 million litres of milk a day. The Darfield site will supply milk powder to markets such as the Middle East, Southeast Asia and China.
